Well, I had said before that I had some ideas for badge customization. I figured I'd finally formalize them here. For the main namespace edit track:

- Unlike the other wiki, we have a fairly broad focus. On the one hand, this is good, but on the other, it means that contributors come here for lots of different reasons. Specific references to only one area of the fandom are problematic; "Time to make an article for my favorite fic!" is a silly badge for someone who doesn't read fan fiction and instead is much more interested in adding music pages. For the same reason, we can't reference specific works. We're limited to the show and maybe some common fanon characterisations (Lyra as a human, for instance). That's one reason why I don't really consider badge customisation a priority. --Tulipclaymore 23:51, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
