So, we've got lists for artists and musicians, and even pages for some of the bigger names. We should have something similar for fan-fiction authors. That way, visitors can search for fics by author as well as by name. CTVvulpin 19:21, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

I have no objection. The question is whether it should be a basically free-for-all list where pretty much anybody can type in their own name if they so desire, whether there should be some requirements, or whether a shorter list of authors whose work has pages on this wiki makes more sense. If anything, we should limit the list to those whose works are listed here, along with other big names who we have yet to create fic articles for. CTVvulpin 05:39, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

That's option B then? I'm open to that but not sure about how feasible that is. Any requirement to determine "big names" would be quite arbitrary.

I would like to suggest a page with something like this for a list of all fanfics on the wiki; it would essentially move and expand the list currently on the front page, which I've wanted to slim down anyway. When it makes sense to do so (signficant body of work, some public statements), authors can be given a page of their own (like MrPoniator's). In addition to that, there would be a "List of authors" hub page open for everybody, sort of like a cross between this and Musicians. --Tulipclaymore 06:30, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
