Equestria Gaming is a fan site that was mainly centered around posting and reviewing My Little Pony Friendship is Magic fan games. The site was run by a fairly small team of reviewers and was hosted on Blogger along with its sister site, the Equestria Gaming Arcade.

In early 2011 a Brony named Strawberry Spice realized that the fandom lacked a central website dedicated to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic fan games, so he decided to create one himself. The site was relatively unknown until the infamous Luna Games were banned from Equestria Daily,[2] and people began to try visiting other websites in their individual quests to find this elusive creepypasta. After this Equestria Gaming experienced a surge of popularity for a couple months, until activity began to slow down later on in the year. On December 18th of 2011 Strawberry Spice announced that he was putting the site on hiatus, stating that there was "just no time for it anymore".[3]

The hiatus did not last long, as soon two new authors were hired, XTUX345 and Enigma Sage. They were successful in bringing the site back to an active state and in late January Strawberry decided to step down as site head and hand over control of the site to Xtux,[4] who had previously updated the site's logo and replaced the theme with a newer one.

In April 2016, the website went down as the domain name expired. However, as of September 2016, the site returned under a new domain.

  • Strawberry Spice: founder of Equestria Gaming. Mostly inactive, but returned on the 22nd of August in 2012 to post the final Luna Game.[5]
  • XTUX345: head of the website, and creator/sole operator of the Arcade. Was responsible for most site theme modifications, optimizations, and other backend changes. Also dabbles in fangame creation.
  • Enigma Sage: administrator and blogger. Responsible for Click the Twilight Sparkle, which he gave a 10/10 in a fake review on April Fools day.
  • Arctic Lux: rookie blogger, was the most active reviewer at some point.

The Equestria Gaming Arcade was an online arcade for online My Little Pony Friendship is Magic fan games. Created in mid 2012 by XTUX345 it has enjoyed considerable success, with a large collection of over 100 Flash/HTML5 games as of March 22, 2013. Unlike most other online game portals, it didn't actually host most of the games on its own servers (since Blogger does not give users access to its servers except via the Blogger interface), but embeds them via iFrames and links to the game's original location via a "Source" button. Much like the main website, Arcade went defunct, but is currently under reconstruction.
